Quotations, there will be one special for you!

First of all, what does "quotation" mean?

Definition of QUOTATION

1: something that is quoted; especially : a passage referred to, repeated, or adduced
2 a : the act or process of quoting

Examples of QUOTATION

1. He gathered quotations from the trial transcript to prove his point;
2. a well-known quotation attributed to Abraham Lincoln;
3. a book of humorous quotations;
4. She relied heavily on quotation in her essays, which made them less original.

Definition of QUOTE (verb)

transitive verb
1. a : to speak or write (a passage) from another usually with credit acknowledgment;
    b : to repeat a passage from especially in substantiation or illustration
4. to set off by quotation marks

Examples of QUOTE
  1. He began his speech by quoting Shakespeare.
  2. The reporter quoted the police chief as saying that an investigation would be launched soon.
  3. He quotes the Bible frequently.
